The Team

As a team, we have decades of experience in High-end Audio Design. The creation of Proper Audio has finally given us the freedom to develop the products we have always wanted - not just great Hi-Fi, but Hi-Fi we'd want to own ourselves - designs of which we are immensely proud.

Design Philosophy

We could go on about "no-compromise" design, but this is just marketing-speak. as everything is compromised in one way or another. What we have done is to minimise compromise as far as possible, and doing so whilst applying a strict philosophy to our decision making process. First of all, we removed cost as a constraint, then we give sound quality and reliability equal priority - it is, after all, no use having the best sounding equipment if it is constantly breaking-down, or needing tweaked all the time. Ease-of-use comes third on the list - our equipment should be easy to use, and normal operation should not require referral to the manual. Finally, once we are happy with everything, we carefully evaluate our design to see if we can reduce cost without affecting performance - only if this can be achieved do we do so. This ensures you get the best sound for your hard-earned cash.

Product Range

Whilst the CA-1 Control and PAB-1 Power Amplifiers are our first products, this is only the beginning. We have a range of additional products currently development. These are being designed to compliment existing products and make full use of our proprietary Comms system optimising system integration and power management.

Warranty

We promise that your product has been design and manufactured to the highest-standards - this enables us to be confident that in normal use, your product will function for many years without need for service, however, in the unlikely event of a problem, your equipment is covered by an limited 5-year warranty. During this period, we promise to repair or replace any product that has failed due to manufacturing defect. Even after this period, we promise to offer cost-effective repair, that will always be significantly less costly than replacement.

Product Life-cycle

We expect that you will want to keep your Proper Audio equipment for a long time - and we've designed it with this in mind. Unlike many modern products, we have designed ours to be repairable many years from now, We also will offer upgrades to improve existing equipment as technology evolves over the coming years. We want our products to be considered heirlooms, not landfill.
